| I am going to have to drop a class and I believe that means getting a "W". How does that effect my GPA? |

Thank you for asking your Quick Question online. A 'w' mark on the transcript has no effect on the GPA. It does, however, effect the completion ratio which determines whether or not a student is placed on progress probation. If a student who has attempted at least 12 units, completes fewer than half (less than 50%), then he or she will be placed on progress probation.
