Thank you for asking your Quick Question online and for your interest in Long Beach City College. Your first step is to apply to the college, we offer an online application at http://admissions.lbcc.edu/ click on the red button titled Apply Online to begin the process. Registration for spring 2010 will begin November 9, 2009. Registration for classes will continue into the next semester; however, the sooner a student is able to register the more likely he or she will be able to enroll in the desired classes. Here is the link to the Schedule of Classes: http://schedule.lbcc.edu/ If you wish to enroll in classes that have prerequisites that you may have completed at El Camino, you will need to submit a transcript along with the Prerequisite Course Evaluation form, which may be obtained in person at the Admissions and Records office at either LBCC campus (LAC or PCC). Additionally, if you wish to have the El Camino transcript evaluated for equivalency to LBCC courses, you will need to submit a transcript along with the Request for Evaluation form located in Admissions and Records, as well. You may want to wait until all your El Camino classes are finished and grades are posted to the transcript before submitting it to LBCC. Here is the link to the Culinary Arts curriculum guide: http://osca.lbcc.edu/curriculumGuides.cfm Click on the title to download the document, be sure to read all the information available. Additionally, general education, graduation proficiency, and degree requirements are list on the General Education Course Pattern Plans document: http://osca.lbcc.edu/genedplan.cfm Click on the most current year to download, be sure to read all the information for Plan A (for the associate degree), Plan B (for transfer to a CSU) or Plan C (for transfer to a UC or CSU). Hope that helps to get you started. |
