| Question: |
| How can I remove my "W" on my transcripts? |
| Answer:
|
Thank you for asking your Quick Question online. No official grades or marks may be removed from transcripts; therefore, once a grade or 'w' is received, those indicators will always be present. Substandard grades may be repeated and a notation will be made to the transcript as such. Also, skills-building courses may be repeated after a certain amount of time has passed. However, a 'w' mark cannot be noted in the same manner as a course repeated for a grade. If a student withdrew during the grace period of the current semester, a 'w' mark will temporarily remain on the unofficial transcript until all grades for the current semester have been received from faculty and posted into the system. Once the semester is completed and grades are posted, 'w' marks that were processed as a result of withdrawing during the grace period will not show up on the transcript. Whereas 'w' marks that were placed after the grace period and before the final drop date will remain as 'w' marks. Hope that helps to explain the process.
